Black. The color of my skin is Black. I may not be as dark as the night, but I am black. I love my black. My black makes me who I am today.
There’s a controversy over light skin and dark skin men and women. Little do they realize we are all black. It shows us that we are the ones categorizing ourselves, but yet get mad when someone treats us different. We are treating ourselves different because we put It in our minds that lighter or darker women may be significant. We are all significant. Get It in your head that we are all the same race. When asked to check off you ethnicity we all check Black/African American. Do we not? Who is going to know that you are light skin or dark skin when checking that box?
